The following student's artwork was entered into the 2021 Brooklyn Borough Arts Festival. The festival takes place in each borough at the end of the year. It is a celebration of the talents and creativity of students and their teachers through arts exhibitions and public performances. This event highlights local excellence and student achievement in the arts.

The following student's artwork was selected to be entered into the 2021 PS Art Contest. Each year, PS Art acknowledges outstanding artwork and exemplary instruction in grades pre-K to 12 through a citywide competition, exhibition, and catalog. Art professionals from the DOE, Studio in a School, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art will judge the contest. Final selections will highlight exemplary artwork and practice as they relate to the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in Visual Arts. The students will be judged against several thousand student artists in the five boroughs.

The Brooklyn Borough Arts Festivals is year-end event taking place to celebrate the talents and creativity of students and their teachers in the borough of Brooklyn through arts exhibitions and public performances.
CONGRATULATIONS! The Whimsical Sid of Me, Created by Bryanna Spencer from Class 405 was accepted into the 2020 Brooklyn Borough Arts Visual Arts exhibition!
Upcoming Events
P.S. Art celebrates the visual arts in New York City’s public schools and showcases the tremendous talent of students from every neighborhood across the city. The students are to be commended for the exemplary work submitted for this competition! The student’s artwork will be shared with a large audience. Studio in a School will created an online catalogue. Please find the link above. In addition, P.S. Art partners at The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be posting a virtual exhibition of P.S. Art 2020 on The Met’s website.

Museum of Modern Art Visit
CLASS 304 HAD AN INSPIRING TRIP TO THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART. WE GOT TO PRACTICE OUR OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS AND DISCUSSED ARTISTS SUCH AS PABLO PICASSO, PIET MONDRIAN, AND HENRI MATISSE. WE ALSO VISITED A SHOW BY ARTIST BODYS ISEK KINGELEZ WHO MADE MINIATURE CITIES OF THE FUTURE MADE FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS. THE STUDENTS ENDED THE DAY BY PARTICIPATING IN A VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE THAT ALLOWED THEM TO EXPLORE WITHIN KINGELEZ’S BUILDINGS! THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CHAPERONES WHO MADE THIS TRIP SMOOTH AND SAFE AND TO MS. ZINGARO WHO MADE IT ALL POSSIBLE!!
